Government Primary Teacher Salary
As per 7th Central Pay Commission Government Primary Teacher Salary in Punjab
The following letters and notifications regarding Salary of Primary Teacher who joined service on or after 17-07-2020 in various departments of Punjab Government will be applicable.
Finance Personnel-1 Branch, Finance Department, Government of Punjab vide letter No: FD-FP-10PYSC/9/2023-3FP1/166-171 dated 27-06-2023 entered into service on or after 17-07-2020 The pay scale of the 7th Central Pay Commission will be applicable to the employee on the pattern of the Central Government and after successfully passing the probationary period, the employee will be eligible to receive allowances as per the other government employees of the Punjab Government i.e. the employee will get the allowances as per the 6th Punjab Pay Commission.
As per the Notification No. G.S.R.56/Const./Art.309/Amd.(18)/2016 dated 07-09-2016 of Personnel Policies-1 Branch, Personnel Department, Government of Punjab, the period of probation has been increased from 02 years to 03 years. has been given
As per Education-6 Branch, School Education Department, Government of Punjab Notification No: 13/01/2020-5 EDU.7/277 dated 21-10-2020, the initial basic pay of Primary Teacher has been fixed at Rs.29200/-.
It is clear from the above that if a Government Primary Teacher employee joins the government service on or after 17-07-2020 then he will get only basic pay of Rs.29200/- per month during 03 years of probation as per 7th Central Pay Commission. After successfully passing the probationary period, the Primary Teacher will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Medical Allowance, Mobile Allowance, HRA (House Rent Allowance), etc.

NOTIFICATION

No:-SED-EDU701/5/22-3EDU7/45-. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 38 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (Central Act No. 35 of 2009), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011, namely:-
RULES
1. (1) These rules may be called the Punjab Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
“(3) The School Management Committee shall consist of sixteen members in the following manner, namely:-
(i) twelve members from amongst the parents or guardians of the students of the school concerned, out of which at least fifty percent shall be women;
(ii) Principal, Headmaster or Head Teacher of the school concerned; or, in the absence of such an official, the senior-most teacher of the school concerned;
(iii) a teacher employed at the school concerned;
(iv) an elected public representative of the area or his nominee; and
(v) an education worker i.e. an individual who preferably holds a graduation degree or more but at least has passed XII and is interested in the field of education:
Provided that a social worker with operations in the vicinity shall be an invitee member of the School Management Committee:
Provided further that the School Management Committee may, by a resolution passed by it, invite any person with a special background like education, health, sports and/or industry, as a special invitee member of the School Management Committee:
Provided further that the invitee member or the special invitee member, shall not have voting rights and shall also not be elected as the Chairperson or Vice Chairperson of the School Management Committee.
(4) The School Management Committee shall elect a Chairperson from amongst the twelve Parent Members to manage its affairs. The School Management Committee shall elect a Vice Chairperson from amongst the fourteen non-official members of the School Management Committee. The Principal or Headmaster or Head Teacher of the school concerned, or where the school concerned does not have a Principal or Headmaster or Head Teacher, the senior-most teacher of the school concerned shall be the ex-officio Member-Secretary and Convener of the School Management Committee.
(5) All the decisions in the School Management Committee shall be taken through consensus and mutual discussion. However, in case that is not possible, all decisions shall be taken by majority votes. In case of tie, the Chairperson shall have a casting vote.”
